The stretch run

Posted Thursday, February 02, 2012 by Stan Noszka
Following a tough loss to South Fayette 39-42 the hillers rebounded to win 2 of their next 3 games, with victories over EF 51-44 and McGuffey 78-74, a poor performance vs Montour resulted in the teams worst loss of the season 55-78. The McGuffey victory was especially vital as it keeps playoff hopes alive. The game was played in front of a large crowd that was treated to an exciting hiller victory in double overtime ( the teams third overtime game this season). We showed great poise and togetherness as all 5 starters scored in double figures led by Christian Koroly with 25. A great 6th man showing by the Hiller Houligans also played a key role in the victory. The next 2 games are vital if we are to make the playoffs, at Waynesburg tuesday the 7th, and the final home game vs Wash high friday the 10th. Hope to see everyone at the games.
